South Korean tech giant Samsung has returned to the top of the global smartphone market. Flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8 sells increased in the first three months of this year or the first quarter as Samsung rivals more than another tech giant Apple. Recently, the market research institute IDC has announced the information.
According to IDC, Samsung sold 22.8 percent of the market by selling 79 million units of smartphones in January to March.on others hand Apple has occupied 14.9 percent of the total market share.
Last year’s October to December, Apple sells increased more than Samsung. In 2016, due to the Note 7 burning issues Samsung market share was 18 percent. After the incident, tech giant Samsung has decided to take away the smartphone from the market.
After the two tech giant, Samsung and Apple, Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo are respectively ranked in the smartphone industries. Currently, the third place in the smartphone market is 9.8 percent which is occupied by Huawei. Oppo and Vivo respectively occupied 7.4 percent and 5.4 percent of market share.
According to the Samsung Mobile Bangladesh, the demand of the pre-order of the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus has increased. This year Samsung Bangladesh received 30 percent more orders than the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge advance order. The Galaxy S8 price is 77,900 taka.
